@artalongthelake is only a few days away! We wanted to share a preview of what Mary has been working on — incorporating printing with rust and dyeing with indigo, a new process she’s been exploring. The first image shows an early phase of that process in the studio.

We’re looking forward to sharing the finished pieces with you during Art Along the Lake, Sept 26–Oct 5, right here at Sannerud Studios.

Mary’s work is headed to Minneapolis. She’s one of five artists showing in FOUNDATIONS: Materials and Methods, a group exhibition at @emaluna .

Mary will be showing her new felted textile work - rooted in texture, memory, and felt’s ability to express the magic of a moment that words often cannot convey.

OPENING RECEPTION SEPTEMBER 18, 5-8 pm
Exhibition runs September 18-November 29, 2025

Old Fashioned Milk Paint. 4-parts black, 3-parts federal blue & 2-parts slate. Finish is organic linseed oil, beeswax and pure turpentine.
